7 Faces of Nha Trang
Nha Trang is a city where history and modernity intertwine into a single whole, creating a unique atmosphere. Everything here is authentic — from peaceful temples and ancient landmarks to dynamic parks and stunning natural spots. We present seven remarkable attractions that make this corner of Vietnam truly special.
Long Son Pagoda
and the White Buddha Statue
Long Son Pagoda is a symbol of Nha Trang, offering panoramic views of the city and the bay from above. It is not only the view that impresses — the White Buddha statue itself seems to embody the peace and tranquility of this place. The pagoda has been restored and expanded many times. Today, it serves both administrative and religious functions as the headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Buddhist Association.
At the top of the hill stands the statue of the seated White Buddha — one of the most recognizable sculptures in the city. The statue is 24 meters high and is reached by 193 steps. Along the way, visitors encounter a reclining Buddha figure and memorial plaques bearing the names of monks who died during the protests of 1963. From the observation deck, views open over the central districts of Nha Trang, the bay, and the surrounding mountain slopes.
VinPearl Nha Trang
Amusement Park
VinPearl Park is an entire island of adventure, where in just one day you can take on many roles — a swimmer, an explorer, a spectator, and a child at heart.
The park is full of experiences: the largest cable car and zip line in the region, an impressive water park that surprises not only with its lazy river and wave pool, but also with thrilling slides for those seeking adrenaline. The park also features a zoo with exotic animals and an oceanarium.
Above it all rises the Sky Wheel — one of the tallest Ferris wheels in the world, offering breathtaking views of the sea and the park.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a spectacular fountain show and the Tata Show with laser projections and live performers. And this is only part of what the pearl of Nha Trang — VinPearl — has to offer.
Getting around the park is easy: clear maps, signs, navigation in the VinPearl app, and route guides are available throughout the area.
Getting lost is difficult — unless you do it on purpose.
Nha Trang City Beach
Nha Trang City Beach stretches for 6 km along Tran Phu Street and is known for its light sand and warm water. The beach is lined with palm trees and well equipped for visitors, offering sun loungers, umbrellas, restrooms, changing cabins, and showers. Numerous restaurants, bars, and shops are located along the promenade. Its close proximity to the city center makes the beach easily accessible for travelers who want to combine seaside relaxation with exploring urban life.
Institute of Oceanography
Founded in 1923, the Institute of Oceanography is considered one of the oldest research institutions in Vietnam and is among the city’s recommended tourist attractions. The institute operates a museum featuring over 60,000 exhibits, including aquariums with marine species, corals, and mollusks. Visitors can also see the skeleton of an 18-meter humpback whale. There are dedicated areas designed for children and school groups, with interactive elements and explanatory materials available in English.
A visit to the museum is ideal for those who prefer travel experiences with an educational focus. The site is suitable for families as well as independent travelers interested in the nature of the South China Sea.
Thap Ba Mud Baths and Hot Springs
The mineral mud baths and thermal springs of Thap Ba offer a chance to reset, release tension, and enjoy a moment of calm. The complex covers approximately three hectares and provides a wide range of wellness experiences, including mineral mud baths, cascading showers, pools with hot and cool thermal water, and relaxation zones.
Guests can choose between individual and group programs. A typical visit lasts about 1.5–2 hours, making it an ideal option for recovery after travel, sightseeing, or an active beach day.
Diving at Mun Island
Hon Mun Island is a popular diving destination, known for its rich coral reefs and diverse marine life. Diving depths here range from 10 to 25 meters, making the site suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. Dives are organized through licensed diving centers, and tour prices usually include transfer, equipment rental, and instructor supervision.
Trips to the island are organized daily, including group tours. High-speed boats are used along the route, and the total duration of the excursion ranges from 4 to 6 hours.
Hon Chong: A Seaside Rock Garden
Hon Chong is a striking natural gallery where massive rock formations appear to create their own world. One of the rocks even bears what looks like a handprint — a mystery that continues to spark curiosity and imagination.
The cape offers panoramic views of the bay, Hon Tre Island, and the coastal mountain ridges. The site attracts photography enthusiasts as well as visitors looking to create visually appealing content for social media. The journey from central Nha Trang takes about 10–15 minutes, and the location is easily accessible for independent visits.
