Location: Oman is located in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders the United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest. To the north it is washed by the waters of the Gulf of Oman, and to the east and south by the Arabian Sea.
Form of government: Absolute monarchy.

ARRIVAL OF TOURISTS IN OMAN
Upon arrival in Oman, after passing passport and customs control, tourists should proceed to the exit to meet the representative of the receiving company указанной in the voucher.
The meeting is carried out with a sign bearing the logo of the receiving company.
The contact details of the receiving company are indicated in the hotel voucher.
If necessary, tourists may contact the provided phone number.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
Hotel check-in without accompaniment is generally permitted from the age of 18.
Some hotels may have internal rules — in case of doubt, it is necessary to request confirmation as an exception from the curator in advance.
Important! The hotel may charge a security deposit, which is refunded after check-out provided there are no additional expenses. The amount of the deposit and the method of payment (cash or card hold) are determined by the hotel’s rules.
A woman may enter Oman and stay at a hotel without male accompaniment upon reaching legal age and in compliance with hotel rules.
According to international regulations, check-out time at hotels is 12:00 local time.
On the day of arrival, check-in is usually after 14:00–15:00.
Room allocation (including room changes) is the prerogative of the hotel administration.
We recommend keeping money, documents, and valuables in the safe located in the room or at the reception desk.
The hotel administration is not responsible for valuables left outside the safe.
A fine may be charged for the loss or damage of wristbands, keys (room or safe), towel cards, in accordance with hotel policy.
Bringing personal beverages into the hotel restaurant is not permitted — an additional charge may be applied for opening each bottle.
It is also not allowed to take food outside the restaurant from the buffet.
Each hotel has its own ALL INCLUSIVE concept.
General rules for most hotels:

complimentary drinks are usually served in glasses;

bottled drinks are charged extra;

freshly squeezed juices, ice cream, and made-to-order coffee are usually not included.
With meal plans such as half board, full board, and all inclusive, services usually start with dinner on the day of arrival and end with breakfast on the day of departure.
In case of night arrival, dinner is generally not provided.
À la carte restaurants require prior reservation and, in most cases, additional payment (including many all-inclusive hotels).

Hotel Check-out
On the day before departure, tourists are informed about the airport transfer time by the representative of the receiving company indicated in the voucher or via the hotel reception.
If transfer time information is not provided, tourists must independently contact the receiving company using the details указанными in the voucher.
On the day of departure, tourists must be present in the hotel lobby at the scheduled transfer time.
In case of group transfer, a bus delay of 10–15 minutes is possible.
According to international regulations, the room must be vacated by 12:00 local time (in some hotels — by 11:00).
Late check-out may result in a charge for an additional night.
Before leaving the hotel, tourists must:

settle payments for additional services;

obtain a document confirming payment.
Transfer
When booking a group transfer, the maximum waiting time at the airport is up to 1.5 hours.
Group transfer is provided along the route
airport — hotel — airport
and implies shared transportation for all tourists staying in hotels of the same region and arriving on the same flight.
Buses of varying capacity are provided depending on the number of tourists.
Group transfer does not include transportation of oversized baggage, including bicycles, surfboards, diving equipment, and other non-standard items.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR OMAN
Citizens of Kazakhstan / Russia:
- Visa-free entry for up to 30 days with a regular valid passport, with a validity of at least 6 months.
Citizens of Uzbekistan / Ukraine:
- Visa-free entry for up to 14 days with a regular valid passport, with a validity of at least 6 months.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan:
- A visa for Oman is required.

TRANSPORT
Taxi:
Official taxis are available in Oman, as well as the mobile apps OTaxi and Uber (in Muscat).
The average cost of a city ride is 10–15 USD, depending on distance and travel time.
Public transport:
The public transport system is limited.
For tourists, the most convenient ways of getting around are taxis and car rental.
USEFUL TIPS
Clothing:
There is no strict dress code for tourists in Oman.
Standard resort wear is permitted within hotel premises.
When visiting city areas, museums, markets, and government institutions, it is recommended to choose clothing that covers shoulders and knees.
This shows respect for local traditions and also helps protect from the sun.
Restaurant dress code:
When visiting hotel restaurants, especially in the evening, appearance requirements may apply.
Generally not permitted:
- flip-flops and beach sandals;
- short shorts;
- beachwear and sportswear.
For men, trousers or jeans with a shirt or polo are recommended;
for women — dresses, skirts, or trousers.
Alcohol:
Alcohol is permitted in licensed restaurants and hotels.
Taking alcoholic beverages outside these establishments and consuming alcohol in public places is prohibited.
Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
